MISSED OR NAH?

Lol, would anyone even think of your hottest selfie if you ever go missing? But this leads to a more important question, how many people will notice if you go missing with the way social media has taken over people's lives?? Ever seen the seasonal,  "Being MaryJane"?? Where a particular active and vibrant young lady died and nobody noticed till after three years? Not even her mother, father, boyfriend or anyone? Isn't that scary??
It makes me wonder if we are really of value or importance to anyone or we are all just passing off time in each other's lives and once the time is up,  you get lost and chapter closed! 

Now let's discuss. Has social media positively or adversely affected relationships among people??
Please  this is an open-minded discussion. Let's hear your views.  If negative,  what do you think can be done? Because am sure no one wants to be gone for three years unmissed like the lady in "Being MaryJane".

SEE ME SEE GBEKE!!!

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH KONGA
My people,  please  help me analyze this us matter.  I got an Asus mini laptop from Konga,  only for me to find out it does not have a hard drive.  An ICT guy now explained to me that it was using cloud storage  . Please  didn't these people  see my location (Ado-Ekiti) before selling such to me??  What they wrote online was 500gb web storage. How will a normal ordinary person know that web storage meant you will be storing and assessing  documents in the cloud and you must be online 24/7to use it(wetin concern law student with ICT).  Immediately i discovered this,  i called Konga customer care,  those ones were just telling me stories. Then i now mailed them and they replied saying  i cannot return the product simply because the seal has been broken (E gba mi) How will i check the product without breaking the seal??
To cut the long story short,  these people have practically frustrated me in every way humanly possible.  I sent subsequent mails which they blatantly ignored.  I have called and called,  wasting over a thousand naira airtime,  all to no avail(this kind when you are tired, you will shutup).  I even offered to add more money to get a bigger laptop in replacement of this one but it all fell on deaf ears.
The most painful part is that i have heard of several returns to Konga,  even after the seal has been broken so why my case is different,  i don't understand. Now my #50,000 is hanging in the air with a totally useless laptop in my custody. Please what should i do?? Or is this product not intact enough to be accepted??

What happened to Konga's so-called return policy?  Whatever happened to customer satisfaction??   It makes me wonder if online shopping malls,  especially Konga,is reliable at all. Please people help me share on Twitter,  instagram,  facebook and the likes. We must get a response to these questions. Thanks

Life is all about opportunities ;
Each day is embedded with chances, risks and opportunities.
From the moment you rise up from bed in the morning,
till you lay back to sleep at night,
there is a constant ram on the door of your heart;
A call for purpose,
an opportunity standing  before you...
Your purpose is not your dream;
Dreams are envisioned by man but purpose is not predetermined (It is God made).
You discover your purpose as you journey through life.
Many a times,  people think they know their purpose but they often mistake purpose for ambition.
What or who you want to become is your ambition,
What you intend to achieve is your dream,
Purpose is another realm entirely.

Your purpose is why you are here on earth and not in space or Mars or Jupiter.
When you talk about dreams,  goals and ambitions,
All these are personal ;self-created and self-oriented,
Purpose is general ; people - focused,
It is centered on everyone but you.
You can never discover your purpose while  in pursuit of your selfish interests and goals,
It is until you look outside the box and see things from a selfless perspective,
Then and only then will you realize your purpose.
Most times,  our purposes are encapsulated in those little things we ignore or consider irrelevant,
not those things we do for ourselves,
but the things we do in the interest of others.
To cut the long story short,  all I  am trying to say is that you find your purpose while helping others discover theirs.
The whole purpose thing is intertwined;
You find your purpose in my purpose and mine in yours... It's a  teamwork.
For me,  this is part of my purpose.
So dear friends,  stop running helter skelter,  from north to south,  in search of purpose and identity ;
Your purpose is right within you.

SOFT WHISPERS

Hi guys! It's been a minute. To be honest,  i got discouraged and uninterested along the way but hell no! I am not quitting blogging. I got remotivated and here i am.
Well this post is a ladies' special edition. Well getting straight to the business, oh hey girlfriends! we've got some chitchat to do. "I love you", " no girl has ever made me feel the way you do",  "you complete me" , " you possess me" , "nothing can quench my love for you" ,  you know how  the rest of the story goes... Soft whispers all around you,  especially when it's coming from a real cute and sensible guy,  then your heart begins to melt. You most probably once had a crush on him, that's it! Game over. You let your guards down and you are ready to dive into the ocean of love,  even without a life jacket? (Sistur, take a chillpill).
As girls,  we get easily swayed by words; we are moved by what we hear,  especially when it's coming from the bass(guys or males).
As a result of this,  we fall in "love" all too quick too soon,  or at least we think we are.
Once we begin to hear what we like;those sweet words, soft whispers... Then you are like no guy has ever said that to me before and even before your heart decides,  you have allowed your head to do all the love calculation,  then you conclude that he loves you and you love him back.
Truth be told,  there is no average teenage girl that is not moved by what she hears,  especially from a guy she likes, it's just that some are more susceptible than others.
Worse still,  if you had earlier thought that the guy was way out of your league,  then all of a sudden, he starts showing interest in you, it is very normal to tend to rush into a relationship with that kind of guy without weighing the odds.
Girlfriends! There is no guy that is too good or too fresh for anybody. Do not mislead yourself into the illusion that if you say no to this one,  better guys will not come along. That he is all cute and smart, funnyand he was your crush, then you say fate has brought you together(says who?).
That he goes to church, and when he sings,  the heavens open and angels descend does not still mean he is the right one for you.
You  say love is blind? Sweetheart,  love is not blind until you are married and you have to close your eyes to the flaws of your spouse,  but for now,  your eyes are still wide open,  use them well!
Love is patient,  Love is kind!
Any guy who claims to love you but cannot wait until you are ready does not love you.
If a guy says he loves you, he should respect you in every way and put your feelings first before his.
It is not just by the words or soft whispers, it must be backed up by deeds. Those little gestures, efforts and sacrifices(observing even the tiniest details about you like the way you hold your coffee mug or the change in your tone  when you  are sad) ,  make all the difference. To them(guys),  it might be insignificant but to us,  it means everything.
It costs a guy nothing to compose a very sweet,  captivating and romantic text, it is their calling!So don't get all mushy and excited and head over heels in love just because of a text,  It is no big deal!
Learn to time - proof any attraction a guy has towards you. Is it love or lust or infatuation? Will it stand the test of time? How far is he willing to go to be with you? Does he care about your feelings or he is just attracted to your body? Is he willing to make sacrifices for you?
These are the questions that should register in your head before giving any guy a chance. Your heart is too expensive to be thrown at every Tom,  Dick and Harry that professes love to you.
So girlfriends, it's time to bend the rules a bit and fuel up the chase. They love  challenges,  give it to them. Don't make it too easy for them.

The Transition

Life can be funny,life can be crazy!
The friend you know today  becomes a stranger tomorrow
You make choices that seem so right yet feel so wrong;
The more I encounter life daily, the more i develop a different perspective towards life,
There's always this new twist to my notion on life by each passing day;
Then i begin to wonder is this what they call adulthood?
The way my experiences and challenges change me and my orientation;
Is it just me being too sensitive or too deep?
Or am i actually growing too fast?
It's quite amazing how things change
The world that was once viewed with such innocence and naiveness;
We hardly noticed its darkness, we only saw the light;
But now we see the world for what it truly is; a perfect blend of mixed emotions
Joys and sorrows, good and evil, abundance and lack, happiness and depression;
Then i wonder, is it we that have lost our touch of innocence or the innocence we once felt quite unconsciously was just a mere mirage or a placeholder meant for the early stage of life and fades away as time passes by?
Then the struggle goes on and on;
Trying to do things right, trying to make things perfect;
Trying to live up to the standard you have set for yourself,
Trying not to let this world define who you should be;
Trying to defeat the monster within which is the hardest of all;
Trying to maintain your sanity in this insane world;
Trying to keep yourself together even when things around you are falling apart;
Trying to get over disappointments and heartbreaks from loved ones;
Trying to put a smile on your face when what u really want to do is burst out in tears;
And the list goes on and on...
The struggle never ends, No! It doesn't.
The only moment it does is when you are lying without a pulse in your grave;
But so long as the heart is still pumping in blood and that blood is still flowing through your veins and you are breathing and living;
The struggle continues!
I guess the struggle is all just part of the life package;
You part with it and you part with life!
No one that walked through the streets of this earth had it easy;
We all have an ugly thing in our past that we are trying to put behind, a monster in our present we are still battling with and the uncertainty of the future, the fear of the unknown;
But in the midst of all these, life goes on;
Ain't nobody gonna pause the time for you to sort out your issues first;
Tick tick says the clock!
Your age is moving on whether you move with it or not;
So you just have to get your act together and live in the moment;
Don't sulk about the past because it's gone and never coming back;
Don't tremble at the future because what will be will be;
Live for now cuz that's all you've got, this moment, now, today!!!
Am gonna be honest, sometimes the future scares the living daylight out of me;
But the feeling never lasts because i stay positive;
I say to myself:" I'm going to be great!" and that's it;
Be a survivor not a victim!
Yeah sometimes it gets really tough, too tough some may say;
But you can't because of that stop trying;
You have to keep doing the best you can at each given moment;
If you make a mistake, we all make mistakes, move on!
Don't beat yourself up so much so that you don't see the brand new opportunity standing in front of you;
You can only do your best and hope for the best;
Keep believing also in Him who made you;
Yeah i may have lost my innocence in that i no longer view the world the way i used to as a child but i have definitely not lost touch with humanity;
My existence brings about hope and my hope gives me the courage to move on and moving on has brought me to where I am today and where i am today is definitely going to lead me to where i will be tomorrow;
But of what use would a road map be if you have no destination at all?
Give yourself a sense of direction today and leave God to do the navigation!

UNVEIL

You put on this mask when you go out every morning,
You look happy, or at least you pretend to,
With fake smiles and forced laughters,
You even go to d extent of spiting others to make yourself feel better,
You humiliate and bring others down to lift yourself up,
You fill up spaces in other people's lives but the vaccum in your heart no one can feel,
You can laugh and smile all you want all day long, but behind that mask, you know yourself;
Those things you hate about yourself but you cannot change,
Those things you admire in others but you cannot have,
It makes you soak your pillow every night before you sleep,
Day by day, you drown more and more in your misery,
Renewing your masks in different shades so you don't get caught;
But little do you know that you can only run but you can't hide;
You can only fake personality but you can't forge character;
You can only pretend to others but you can't deceive your own self;
Those insecurities you battle with at the corner of your heart;
Those weaknesses you are struggling with that want to tear you apart;
Those addictions that you can't seem to detach from;
But permit me to whisper these words into your ear : "You are not alone"
We all have those monsters we are struggling with within us;
Only in varied intensity and frequency;
We all want to be that perfect little boy or girl;
With no worries or fears just laughter and happiness;
We all want our lives to be lit up with beautiful colors and not be all shades of grey;
But if everything were so perfect, then the essence of life is lost;
The true purpose of life will be misplaced;
Bcos it is these imperfections we bear that give us experiences;
And it is the experiences we face that expose us to reality;
And it is the reality we encounter that later defines our very existence;
Who we are, what we represent, where we stand...
And who we are,what we represent, where we stand...is life itself;
So don't waste your time living under shadows or legacies laid down by others;
Because there are people who have done it before and there are people who can do it better than you;
Make your own history and build your name;
Take off your mask and be your own kind of beautiful;
And now i don't refer to physical beauty but beauty that flows from within your heart;
The kind of beauty that no one can take away from you, even if all the make-ups were banned from this earth;
You may not be perfect but be the best version of you, yourself;
You are elastic; expand yourself to the maximum reach;
You are like a palmtree, they can only bend you but they can't break you;
And when you feel you can take it no more, call upon God,
For His word says:You have not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear but the spirit of adoption whereby we cry "Abba Father".
And this same God said He honors His word more than His name;
So do not hesitate, call upon Him and He will answer;
For He is the only one that  knows you better than yourself;
You are like an opened book before Him;
Keep doing your best and leave the rest for God;
He won't fail you nor leave you to drown;
He is the only one that can genuinely fill the void in our hearts;
That feeling of emptiness that is still there even when you know you have achieved a lot ;
He is the only one that can fill the vacuum;
So you can accept this reality now or keep running in circles;
But as a friend, I would tell you :
" Game time is up"
Unmask yourself and let Him make you truly happy as you pretend to be.

COME AS YOU ARE!

So many times, when an altar call is made, I keep going forward...me and many others;
But after some time, i got to realize that it's not by how many altar calls you respond to or how many prayer sessions you go for;
Because you can never encounter any change until you become uncomfortable with your present situation
U can't go all sober in the physical when your heart is still stiffened and unrepentant
It is until you determine within urself to stop all the wrong things you've been doing and decide to follow Jesus all the way;
Until you hunger and thirst for Christ desperately and passionately from the deepest part of  your soul, within your heart, your mind, your body;
That is when Jesus can actually come and make your heart His abode;
He is not an imposter neither is He an intruder;
If u don't want Him genuinely or if you think you do but ure still double-minded, am sorry buh no matter how much you cry and roll in the church, there might be no change, absolutely no difference!
You will just be sober and calm for that moment, probably the whole of that day;
Buh don't be surprised if you go back to your normal lifestyle the next day;
You can't claim to hunger or thirst for Christ when you are still craving worldly pleasures;
You can't sit on the fence and expect an unknown force to push u to one side of the fence;
Darlings, the days of sugar-coating facts are over;
Itz either ure for Christ or for the devil;
And the choice is all yours to make!
Like Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14,  "I count not myself to have apprehended but this one thing I do : Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus"
So don't get it twisted, who am i to condemn anyone? For we are all struggling with those sins that easily beset us but our weaknesses are made strength in the promise of God which states : "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law but under grace". Romans 6:14
But shall we now continue in sin that Grace may abound? God forbid.
Remember, not believing in God is the sin even the devil Himself never committed;
So please i beg of you, make up your mind and do what is right.
God doesn't need you to do it all alone;
You are His masterpiece, He knows your end from the beginning;
He just needs you to sign over the contract of your life to Him and He takes it from there;
You don't even have to furnish any consideration because He already did that on your behalf on the cross. Just come as you are! Jesus is giving you the best bargain ever;
Some might not know how to go about it but it's pretty easy, just say a genuine prayer, anything that comes to your heart, it doesn't have to be with complex words or big grammar, all that matters is that your heart is communing with your heavenly father. It might be something like this :
Dear Lord Jesus,I thank you for your word and your unconditional love for me. I have come to realize that I can't make it without you. I need you everyday, every minute,every second of my life. I give myself away to you and I surrender all at your cross. Thank you Father for saving me.Amen
If you just said that prayer, I congratulate you because you just made the first step towards a new beginning, an amazing encounter and trust me, there is true joy and peace of mind in knowing the Lord.  Bless:)

BEFORE U SAY I DO Pt.2

Hey people! If u check my last post, u will notice I was saying some things about marriage ryt? Yes
Don't mind me, this second part was meant to come earlier buh i guess have been distracted plus i was having some admin issues with my blog but I'm back now and it feels so good to be back:)
Well here is it; Before you say "I Do"
 We mentioned two major factors that constitute marriage namely :
Maturity and Consent.
We discussed about maturity in the last post so we are going to be talking about consent and other important factors.
Marriage is all about consent;
Not just parental consent, but it includes
the consent to share the rest of your life with someone else;
The consent to leave your parents to live under the roof of another man or woman;
The consent to start up a new life and create your family;
The consent to submit your body, your heart and sometimes, your will to another...
It goes on and on like that;
This is why one just has to be carefully selective as to who the lucky guy or girl will be;
You are giving up and giving in a whole lot here;
You have the right to make it personal;
Don't let your parents or friends choose for you;
they should only influence your choice postively;
At the end of the day, only you and you alone is getting married ;
And if you make the wrong choice, whenth bomb finally explodes, only you will get burnt, not them;
So know what you are going into before stepping your feet;
If not, you will be trapped for life;
Because it is "for better for worse...till death do us part"
And y'all know divorce is not an option for Christians;
Well, on a lighter note, just as it is easy to  choose the wrong partner, it is also easy to know the right one;
Like i said earlier, the very first step is knowing what you want for yourself;
Know the kind of marriage you desire to have;
then identify the qualities you would love to see in your spouse;
After these, the next is to WATCH and PRAY;
People can be very deceitful and can put up all kinds of appearance to get what they want;
So you have to pray and pray hard that you don't fall for the wrong person;
Because the greatest mistake i feel anyone can make is marrying the wrong person;
That's just the greatest failure for me;
Things might be going on smooth at the beginning, but after some time,
it becomes hell on earth;
I don't know about you but as for me,
I would rather enjoy my marriage than endure it;
Guys! don't go for looks because beauty fades;
Girls! don't go for wealth because u don't know what will happen tomorrow;
Go for someone that has that unique quality that you are searching for in a man or a woman;
There should be that one thing that distinguishes that man or woman from all the others you've ever met;
Something more permanent, more real, someone that makes you smile even when nothing is working out for you;
because it takes only a smile to make a dark day turn bright;
Everyone has that special someone;
I mean someone's rib is still missing out there;
You just have to look in the right places and find your perfect match.
